Birdsnbones

Sometimes people will catch me taking flight shots of birds at ridiculously low shutter speeds. Their weird looks are worth some good ‘ghost’ pics, here’s a Raven from Monday morning. This ghost is flying diagonally down to the left…the slow speed removing all detail until all that’s left is movement and distorted form.

The black background is broken by a white flame, flickering up and to the right. Soft transitions of light occasionally punctuated by clear lines, a beak in the lower left, feathers curling up and to the right? Nothing is certain about this abstract photo except the subject is most definitely alive with flowing movement.
