I'm in the process of thinking about making and releasing a new album.

I am considering breaking it all down and writing / documenting about how I do each section as:

(a) some sort of tool / checklist for then I do it again,
(b) as a resource for other people,
(c) as a way of creating a snapshot of a moment,
(d) working out how I can improve on what I can do better next time

Build digital and analogue instruments to record an album and then giving all the stems and source files away for free so people can remix.

And then repeat it.

use to design an interface linking to and using and projection map live music and animations onto buildings around Europe.

Or something.

I mean I make music. But I like coding. I contain multitudes.

web surfing has become all but impossible. nothing links anymore, it's all narcissistic inside linking if anything. i used to surf links across the network, stumbling from one thing to the next, surprises and missteps. now it's all search hubs and feeds rather than networks.

what we use now via the http protocol isn't really the web anymore. there's no web here. it's all silos, standing alone and trying desperately to keep me from leaving. no longer a digital ocean, now small tide pools with no path between, left in the receding wake of the surf.

or shall I just suck it up and use touch designer and build processes in that?

Doesn't feel very sharing / open source / etc...

Or can I use puredata to build something that can talk to ableton and a visualiser?

I wonder if I can build some sort of interface in that I can control the Session view in and some sort of visualiser built in / Godot /

Basically like OSC / PILOT but I make it.

Never have lives been less lived and better documented.

I'm talking alternatives to Touch Designer.

Blender geometry nodes?

If i take the time in building this template perfectly or as close as
then when inspiration sneaks into my house and twats me round the face with The Space of Creativity I'll be ready to basically plug and play.

Going to spend the next week or so building out the logic pro template file for the next bunch of releases.

gonna stick to a very tight set of tools. Work within the boundaries, create Great Works.

Or something.

i have a new face. I wear it like a shroud.

IN other news. I'm setting up stuff to write some more music.

There's a plan and there's the willingness.

And more importantly, there's the time.

@cb your modularsynth looks amazing. Nice work!

An underrated feature of physical books is how through used bookstores, estate sales, etc., they flirt with being a form of temporally resilient communal resource.

I have a couple books that are in their fifth century of life. They are not expensive or rare, just sets of words that have had 400+ years of people using them, kept in good shape and passed from caretaker to caretaker ("owner" isn't the right word in this case. I am caretaking for it. We are all librarians)

Whoops @neauoire my partner and I accidentally acquired an 18th century style upright harpsichord with robotic electromagnetic hammers and unleashed Orca on it

need a reverse scarecrow. a comfortcrow. need an ornament to put in my garden that will bring every crow in a hundred miles radius and make them feel loved and safe
