A human thinking that machine code designed to mimic language is sentient, is very much like a cat thinking their reflection in a mirror is another sentient animal.



Every action the cat reflection makes is made because of a sentient animal. The only part that is not true is the "another" part.

So the machine code mimic is really less like sentience.
