Satya has grown Microsoft’s stock price 1,000% since taking over and earned $1B in compensation during that time due to growth of the stock.
I’m a huge fan of how he completely inverted Microsoft’s culture and turned around the company. He deserves every cent.
@carnage4life
no, no one deserves to be a Billionaire. It is an undemocratic and unethical accumulation of power
@aberl 100% agree.
@carnage4life i respectively disagree. 20yr Microsoft veteran btw. Obviously I have financially benefited, but havig lived through the Gates/Balmer/Satya years. I respect Satya the least. Just one man’s opinion.
@carnage4life anyone who smiles that much can’t be that deep in thought…
@carnage4life Maybe he deserves recognition in the form of additional compensation, but, I wouldn't say he *deserves every cent* of a $1B payout. I'm one of those people who believes no one person should have $1B to begin with. That's an obscene amount of money that no one person could possibly use in a meaningful way.
I mean, not that that extreme wealth inequality is Nadella's problem, but I just wouldn't use the phrase "deserve" when it comes to an amount like $1B. No one "deserves" $1B.
@carnage4life Yeah, he was very successful in making loads of money. But the Windows OS is a train wreck without any innovation since Vista or Windows Server 2008, and they are just milking there customers through decades of vendor lock in.
