"Pyramide van Austerlitz" Yashica Electro35 MC : I found the camera ( for free ) in a box full of junk during a second-hand purchase. Funny enough, the shutter still clicked. And when I looked at it again later and popped in a battery, I realized the old thing probably still worked perfectly. Time for a roll of old #Ilford #HP5 and a test. It’s an unbelievably small and charming little #camera#analog is timeless. #filmphotography #ishootfilm #grainisgood #film #yashica

Is anyone using the #cameractrl overlay on #postmarketos #gnomemobile ? I'm trying to use it on my #oneplus6 but I don't understand how is it supposed to work: in the screenshot on github (https://gitlab.com/NekoCWD/cameractrl) I see it superimposed on the camera app screen, but if I launch the camera and then the overlay, I see the desktop background instead of the camera app...

Kudos to this guy Brian on youtube explaining something about a camera: "If you'll forgive state of the art graphics that I use on my channel, nonetheless, this should be sufficient. I don't know why everybody spends so much money on these g-whiz graphics for their youtube videos" and proceeds to draw in his notebook.

I mean, he did try to explain an analog, film camera viewfinder, there's no easy way to record this. But his explanation with pen and paper and the camera itself worked beautifully.

This is my favorite image from a group of RPPCs (real photo postcards) from Japan I purchased some time ago. It was likely printed in the early 1920s (though may have been taken earlier). The photographer and exact location are unknown.

For those who are unfamiliar, real photo postcards are "continuous-tone photographic images" printed directly onto postcard stock. They were a popular way to share photos in the early 20th century and the markings on the card stock can help you narrow down when they were printed: https://www.playle.com/realphoto/

If anyone can identify the exact model of the camera in this photo, I would love to know what it is.
