More Metro tunnel testing this weekend.
Still difficult to say when it'll open to the public - sounds like still a bit of work to do on Town Hall and State Library stations.

so we ended up celebrating #koningsdag in #Brunswick #Melbourne (personally pleased the place mostly has Amsterdam flags, not the Dutch national)
Met a neighbour & had a chat with them about their cute vintage MG.

Day 27 cont
“#PeterDutton said there was “a lot of anger in the #suburbs,” with many families unable to put #food on the table.
“That’s the reality of life for many Australians under #AnthonyAlbanese, and I think there are many Australians in outer #metropolitan areas who feel that this prime minister hasn’t been honest, he’s out of his depth, that he has prioritised the interests of #Greens voters in inner city, #Sydney and #Melbourne, many of whom are quite #affluent.”
The opposition leader said Albanese had abandoned people in regions and in the outer suburbs.
“We see families who are doing it hard, they’re not going to vote for Labor this time, and they may have been Labor voters all their lives.”

#Melbourne people, your recommendations please! Going out with 14-year-old artist today, and looking for exciting places to visit, things to see and/or do.
We previously loved, e.g., the Rose Street artists’ market, Wunderkammer, Camberwell Sunday market, the Hellenic museum, and the St Kilda penguins, to give an indication of the range.
Alternatively, any exciting events on today?
G’day tooters. For the third time this week I’ve slept way longer than usual. 8.5hrs last night. Many reasons I suspect, doing too much, thoroughly enjoying my days & wearing myself out, Claratyne to stop me itching, change of seasons & last night probably the glass of wine with dinner . Whatever the reason I’m waking feeling well rested & happy - it’s a good feeling
. It was about 12/13c last night & today is heading to 25c. I already have the washing out & it should dry if the forecast rain stays away until late afternoon.
This time next week I’ll be in #Melbourne with Miss 13 & we will be in Belgrave waiting to catch Puffing Billy. I’m looking forward to it.
For now - I have housework to do. Time to shower & start my day. Hope everyone has a great #Saturday, enjoy your weekend. #Weather.
There's an awful lot of autumn about in #Melbourne this morning.

I've had #melbourne maps open a bit lately planning walking routes and I've been taken aback by just how much of our city is taken up by golf courses. In some parts of the city there's such huge chunks it's obvious on satellite maps zoomed a long way out. They're not entirely without benefit to non-golfers (the one near me seems to provide habitat to local cockatoos) but it does seem absurd though that in a housing crisis where so many people are being pushed to the far fringes of the city that so much land in great to live in areas is being taken up by lawns that exist solely for a sport most people don't play.
