Made a crappy little site to show the #Japanese data I sometimes compute from dictionary data when I encounter something during learning. https://sibaku.github.io/japanese/
Two posts so far, but there will be a few more, though maybe not too many, I'll see. It also doesn't look good, because that would require more work lol
First post is about kanji semordnilaps, so words that when you reverse the kanji, gives you another word: https://sibaku.github.io/japanese/2025/01/28/semordnilaps.html
Second post is about palindromes, a thing every programmer learns as one of their earliest assignments :D https://sibaku.github.io/japanese/2025/01/30/palindromes.html
Third #Japanese post is about homophones, the bane of my vocabulary review. I found 13105! That is A LOT! Of course, only a fraction will actually be in use, but still!

New #Japanese post about a class of mimetic words! They are made from 4 letters, with the second being a small っ. They also give me a lot of trouble while learning! And looking at the list I can see why! https://sibaku.github.io/japanese/2025/02/08/mimetic_four_letter_words.html
I asked Japanese people if there is a specific word for this class of words, but apparently there is not. Just some different onomatopoeia classes. Though if someone knows better, please educate me ^^
