@skeletor if someone is getting in your face and bothering you IRL, then sure, yea, you can tell people to fuck off because it's a self-defense mechanism.

Now when it comes to people online who I may disagree with, I personally, wouldn't tell them to fuck off, because that would just make me a reactionary.

I would either block/mute them, or offer a counterpoint, which may or may not sway their opinion. Most people are stuck in their ways though, so there is a high probability it won't work.
