Edaqa Mortoray
Having build issue with Unity Build:

- I created a new repo to use submodules, since only one repo can be used to build
- BitBucket however only gives out workspace access tokens if you have premium
- I created a UVCS (Plastic) repo using Xlinks and host directly on Unity Cloud
- Unity Dev Ops build does not support Xlinks (fails to even start build)
- Using git archive to produce a single module imported to UVCS
- That finally works. Ed Suominen
I know #git isn't intended for binaries, but I've been using it to keep track of things like GIMP xcf files for years without any complaints. Usually when you finish making a binary blob of some sort, you're done, and the git repo becomes a nice historical archive. And if you do make a change, sometimes you still get compression in the repo data.

Gilles DePemig
Question about choice of forge software, I would be very thankful for some suggestions!

I aim to work on projects for customers, whom I want to grant read and write rights flexibly. I will be the main contributor, but my customer may need to add content too, and certainly need read-rights. The customer may be a non-nerd. Ideally, it'd be software that I can eventually host myself. Therefore, it should not be too complicated, since I am a beginner server admin.

#github #gitlab #git #codeberg

Interesting.. there's still an open issue for that apparently.
Anyway, that forced me to use ssh instead of https and.. that's a lot more secure, huh? While not even that much more complex?
