Heather EvansI have really enjoyed today, getting out of town with a lovely friend. Lunch at a lovely & different little cafe in Beechworth - even had a glass of Rosé that went straight to my head, wandering the town & the gardens. Visiting a fabulous second hand book shop & stopping in Yackandandah on the way home for coffee. I don’t think we stopped talking & laughing the whole time we were out. A wonderful day & just what the doctor ordered <a href="https://aus.social/tags/GoodFriends" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GoodFriends</a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DayTripping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DayTripping</a>. I have been in contact with my niece though whose husband is now in a Sydney hospital, but it is good news - kind of! Her husband has an infection in the left lung & also 2 small blood clots & all treatable. He can’t fly for 2wks & on blood thinners for 6 months. So not great, but better than unstable angina or heart attack. They’ll be driving to Wodonga tomorrow now & staying at least 2 weeks. Which will actually make my sister happy as she wanted them to stay longer than the week they’d planned. Now just to get my sister on the mend, rehab completed & home <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Family" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Family</a>. The book I bought from the secondhand bookshop 😊.

Heather EvansGood morning tooters. It’s a very fresh morning today & I’m enjoying it, even the cold feet 😁. The BOM says it’s nearly 15c, but feels about 12c & I concur, there’s a lovely cool breeze. Kept myself in a calmer frame of mind as I headed to bed last night which helped me achieve a pretty good nights sleep, so I’m feeling easier in my mind today. Which is good as I’m being picked up by a friend in a couple of hours to go on a drive to Yackandandah & Beechworth where we will stop for lunch & a wander. I should be home mid to late afternoon. I’m looking forward to a few laughs & good conversation. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/GoodFriends" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GoodFriends</a>. My niece has been in touch, the ambulance has been called & her husband should have been picked up by now & off to the hospital. She was able to get in contact with another Sydney relative who with her partner will be on hand to help with anything they need, which is a relief. Heather EvansWell my swim 🏊🏼‍♀️ this morning didn’t quite go to plan, but it was still very good. I didn’t even manage the 1km I’ve been aiming for each time - still it was a credible 850 metres. It was because my friend met me there & we haven’t seen each other for 6 weeks at least. After every length we’d stand or tread water & talk & laugh. It got to the stage where the lifeguards were joking with us that we may as well both be in the same lane, or did we need them to bring us coffee. Then one of them came out with the slow lane stand & put it between our lanes 😂🤣. It was hilarious. Eventually we decided to just get out & dressed, head to the nearby shopping centre & have a coffee ☕️& a proper catch up chat. We didn’t part company until after 12pm & it’s been a while since I’ve laughed so much.
