JosephRefugee status requires you to prove the following things: <br><br>1. A well founded fear of persecution. Considering that people are already being disappeared it might be sooner than later. Any documentation that you’ve been targeted for a disappearance or people in your community are being picked off will probably be enough, but keep documentation! A collection of threats sent to you will help make your case.<br>2. Membership of a particular social group. LGBTQI+ meets the threshold. <br>3. Persecution involves serious harm. Threat to your liberty, physical harm or forced detransition would meet the standard. <br>4. Real chance of persecution. This includes the likelihood of something happening in the immediate future.<br>5. You can’t have citizenship to another country where you could seek refuge. <br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/uspol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#USPOL</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/lgtqi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LGTQI</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/refugee" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Refugee</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/auspol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Auspol</a> <br><br>2/3
JosephPlease share for visibility. <br><br>Hey USA LGBTQI+ people, <br><br>In the event that you need to leave the country to seek asylum you might want to start planning now. <br><br>If you want to apply for refugee status in Australia you will need a few things.<br><br>1. A passport (and as much ID as you can bring)<br>2. A visa to get into the country - you can come as a tourist and apply for refugee status on arrival. A tourist visa costs AUD$20. The visa is automatic for USA and lasts 12 months.<br>3. A ticket to get to Australia. <br><br>Explore visa options here: <a href="https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder</a> <br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/uspol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#USPOL</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/lgtqi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LGTQI</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/refugee" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Refugee</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://pinksheep.org/tag/auspol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Auspol</a> <br><br>1/3
