Upon boarding, a very young very much in love couple showed up, without tickets. There was only 1 seat left. So I explained to the driver that I had booked 2 seats, and they were allowed to ride.</p><p>The lad was so happy he gave me his hat; he wouldn't take no for an answer. :-)</p>

I haven't used them in years. I hate riding buses, makes my sick.</p><p>But I recall a ~12 hour <a href="https://social.heise.de/tags/Megabus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Megabus</span></a> trip from Toronto to New York City in 2008 for $1.50. The ticket was $1, plus a 50 cents booking fee. In today's money, that would be $2.09. 🙂 </p><p>The following year, two lovely girls and I went from NYC to Boston (and back). We brought sandwiches from Tom's Diner for the ride. Yes, the Tom's Diner of Suzan Vega and Seinfeld.</p>
