Jordan<p>802.3ad/ax network bonding (Linux bonding mode 4) is pretty cool. It involves configuring server interfaces as well as the switch, to join multiple network interfaces together as one for load balancing and fault tolerance. LACP ("Link Aggregation Control Protocol") makes things relatively easy, too. I love learning how to use this stuff. My infra is now upgraded!</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/networking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>networking</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/servers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>servers</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/bonding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bonding</span></a></p>

Aaron Oldenburg<p>I've heard that all c.im accounts are blocked by some other servers just because this server has so many people and some of them misbehave. Is that true? If so, is there a place that shows which servers are blocked by which? </p><p>I know I could probably comb through a block list CSV file, but it seems like I'd have to wade through a lot of individual accounts before finding which servers were blocked. </p><p>I've read advice that I should just find a server with a small population and it probably won't be blocked. </p><p>I'm wondering if that's one reason why my posts don't get much engagement. It could just be that they aren't good posts! But I get a lot of engagement from strangers over at pixelfed and almost nothing here. </p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/blocklist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blocklist</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/servers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>servers</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/mastodonquestion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mastodonquestion</span></a></p>
