Ganz einfach: Es gibt viele Wege, wie du dich stark machst und für trans Personen sichtbar wirst!</p><p>Eine der einfachsten, aber effektivsten Möglichkeiten ist es, Trans-Abzeichen, Buttons, Pins oder Schals zu tragen – und zwar deutlich. Zeige deine Unterstützung für die <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/trans" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>trans</span></a> <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/Community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Community</span></a> und mach es sichtbar! Je mehr <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/cis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cis</span></a> Menschen das tun, desto sicherer wird es für uns trans Personen in der Öffentlichkeit. Hast du Angst, falsch verstanden zu werden? Willkommen in unserer Welt. Diese Angst erleben wir jeden Tag – und sie gehört zu den vielen Hürden, mit denen <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/transPersonen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>transPersonen</span></a> konfrontiert sind. Aber genau darum geht es: Wenn wir uns gegenseitig unterstützen, machen wir es für alle leichter, sich selbst zu sein.</p><p>Aber es geht noch weiter! Je mehr du weißt, desto mehr kannst du Verständnis und Empathie zeigen.</p><p>Höre zu und sei da – Manchmal geht es nicht nur darum, etwas zu tun, sondern einfach zuzuhören. Sei ein offenes Ohr für die Geschichten und Bedürfnisse von trans Personen.</p><p>Setze dich für trans Rechte ein – Unterstütze Organisationen, die sich für die <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/Rechte" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rechte</span></a> von trans Menschen stark machen, und setze dich aktiv für gesetzliche Veränderungen ein.</p><p>Verwende die richtigen <a href="https://lsbt.me/tags/Pronomen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pronomen</span></a> – Es ist so einfach, und doch ein so großer Schritt, um trans Personen zu respektieren. Achte darauf, die Pronomen von trans Menschen zu verwenden und auch im Gespräch darauf hinzuweisen, wie wichtig es ist, dies zu tun.</p><p>Stelle dich gegen Transfeindlichkeit – Wenn du Zeug*in von transfeindlichem Verhalten oder Sprache wirst, stelle dich klar dagegen. Es ist wichtig, dass wir als Gesellschaft zusammenstehen und jegliche Form von Diskriminierung ablehnen.</p><p>Das ist eure Zeit, cis Menschen! Ihr habt die Chance, zu echten Verbündeten zu werden und uns Trans Personen aktiv zu unterstützen. Lasst uns gemeinsam für eine Welt kämpfen, in der wir uns alle sicher und akzeptiert fühlen können.</p><p>Zeigt eure Unterstützung! Tragt eure Abzeichen, sprecht offen über trans Rechte und setzt euch für echte Veränderung ein. DoomsdaysCW<p>I've been on estrogen (MISERABLE), testosterone (TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING), but found balance with pumpkin seeds (phyto-testosterone) and peanuts (phyto-estrogen). I am AFAB, and post-menopausal now (I wish I had known about estrogen blockers when I was younger), but had / have high levels of androgen naturally. Everyone has their own level of comfort in their skin, and deserves to find it on their own. But in early 2010, he found himself having a particularly awkward conversation about sex. </p><p>"A 46-year-old pregnant woman had visited his clinic at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia to hear the results of an amniocentesis test to screen her baby's chromosomes for abnormalities. The baby was fine—but follow-up tests had revealed something astonishing about the mother. Her body was built of cells from two individuals, probably from twin embryos that had merged in her own mother's womb. And there was more. One set of cells carried two X chromosomes, the complement that typically makes a person female; the other had an X and a Y. Halfway through her fifth decade and pregnant with her third child, the woman learned for the first time that a large part of her body was chromosomally male. 'That's kind of science-fiction material for someone who just came in for an amniocentesis,' says James. </p><p>"Sex can be much more complicated than it at first seems. According to the simple scenario, the presence or absence of a Y chromosome is what counts: with it, you are male, and without it, you are female. But doctors have long known that some people straddle the boundary—their sex chromosomes say one thing, but their gonads (ovaries or testes) or sexual anatomy say another. Parents of children with these kinds of conditions—known as intersex conditions, or differences or disorders of sex development (<a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/DSDs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSDs</span></a>)—often face difficult decisions about whether to bring up their child as a boy or a girl. Some researchers now say that as many as 1 person in 100 has some form of DSD.</p><p>" 'When genetics is taken into consideration, the boundary between the sexes becomes even blurrier. Scientists have identified many of the genes involved in the main forms of DSD, and have uncovered variations in these genes that have subtle effects on a person's anatomical or physiological sex. What's more, new technologies in DNA sequencing and cell biology are revealing that almost everyone is, to varying degrees, a patchwork of genetically distinct cells, some with a sex that might not match that of the rest of their body. Some studies even suggest that the sex of each cell drives its behaviour, through a complicated network of molecular interactions. 'I think there's much greater diversity within male or female, and there is certainly an area of overlap where some people can't easily define themselves within the binary structure,” says John Achermann, who studies sex development and endocrinology at University College London's Institute of Child Health.</p><p>"These discoveries do not sit well in a world in which sex is still defined in binary terms. Few legal systems allow for any ambiguity in biological sex, and a person's legal rights and social status can be heavily influenced by whether their birth certificate says male or female.</p><p>" 'The main problem with a strong dichotomy is that there are intermediate cases that push the limits and ask us to figure out exactly where the dividing line is between males and females,' says Arthur Arnold at the University of California, Los Angeles, who studies biological sex differences. DoomsdaysCW<p>In high school, I could easily beat the boys at 50 and 100 yard dashes (and could dunk way more baskets than most of them -- 7 in a row from the line one time). But I was not allowed to compete directly with them, or play on the boys' basketball team. The boys had no problem with it -- but the school did. Some of us are born with subtle differences in chromosomes, hormones, etc., and not-so-subtle differences in weight, skills, etc. Maybe we should focus on muscle mass, weight, skill, etc., like there is with boxing and other sports. In martial arts class (which I became a brown belt in a class full of boys), we competed by skill and size -- not by gender. A college athlete used to winning, with a goal of making the 2032 US Olympic team. But 21-year-old <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/SadieSchreiner" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SadieSchreiner</span></a> says she feels 'defeated.'</p><p>"Not by the sport she loves or the physical rigors of the training but by the shifting rules on <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/TransgenderAthletes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransgenderAthletes</span></a> that have left her running alone around the track or now not running competitively at all. </p><p>"But she won’t stop. 'I don’t know what would happen if I don’t have track and field, and I’m not going to see that reality,' Schreiner insisted. </p><p>"Schreiner knew when she was young that her physical body didn’t match her gender and began transitioning while in high school. She takes 8 pills daily to keep her testosterone levels low enough so they aren’t detectable on lab tests.<br>'(The hormone therapy) shrank my ligaments. It’s made me shorter. It’s made me weaker. It’s lessened my muscles. It’s redistributing my fat. It’s lowered my lung capacity,' Schreiner explained. “My biology is fundamentally different than a cis man.' </p><p>"Her NCAA 24:12 personal best for the 200 meters puts her in the top tier of her age group but she said she’s a wholly different athlete than the high school kid who ran in boys’ races. 'Governor [Janet] Mills would have done well to adhere to the wisdom embedded in the old idiom — be careful what you wish for. Bondi said the inmate was convicted of murder. </p><p>"The loss in funding for the department totaled upward of $1.5 million, according to Fox News. The Justice Department did not return a request for comment. </p><p>"In a news release, Maine’s corrections department said it received formal notice from the Department of Justice on Monday that certain federal grants 'are being terminated because they ‘no longer effectuate the program goals or agency priorities.' The cuts will impact state-run initiatives related to <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/SubstanceAbuseTreatment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SubstanceAbuseTreatment</span></a> and support for <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/children" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>children</span></a> with incarcerated parents, the corrections department said. </p><p>"The notice from the Justice Department, a copy of which was obtained by The Hill, does not mention transgender inmates. 'This is just another example where no law or consequence appears to restrain the administration as it seeks capitulation to its lawlessness.
