Rummaging in the leaf litter looking for slime mold, under an icy cloud burst, I met this beautykin up on the High Vinnals - dor beetle out in late November isn't a good sign, because they should be deep in their warm subsoil chambers by now, to ward off the frosts. After a nervous start (back flip to reveal a shimmering purple underside), we enjoyed a perfect moment of peace together, a little chat, & a gaze at each other's faces, & then we departed on very good terms. #woods #beetles #Kinning
