@rooster
Please understand that fear is exactly what drives the criticism of Joe Biden. He has positioned himself as the only thing between us and fascism and if he loses, he only has himself to blame. He buried more qualified candidates, lied about his agenda and is now supporting genocide in the middle east. Beating Trump should be easy, but we're stuck with probably the only guy that can lose to him.
@jacklaridian I’d suggest that perhaps a list of complaints about Biden, in response to someone who’s pointing out the threat to her life that the only alternative to Biden poses (and there is no realistic third option at this stage), might be missing the point a bit.
@Serenus
Are you tone-policing me? This is a public forum. I'm good. Thanks
@jacklaridian No, I’m pointing out the reply guy behaviour.
@Serenus
So, anyone who replies is a 'reply guy'? How convenient.
@jacklaridian @Serenus No. Reread their first post, as it accurately describes the issue. And no, critiquing someone’s decision to speak and on what subject and to whom, is not tone policing.
@WhiteCatTamer @Serenus
Listen to yourself. Since when are you the arbiter of who is allowed to respond in a public forum. Get over yourself.
@WhiteCatTamer I think that's exactly tone policing tbh @jacklaridian @Serenus
@SallyStrange @jacklaridian @Serenus Tone policing is saying people must be deferential to those in power in order to be taken seriously or respected, to moderate their anger at that person’s choices and position because their presentation is more important than their position.
It’s not the same as telling people off for making a marginalized person’s cry of pain about themselves and their right to speak.
When the person who's supposedly our only hope for protection, is someone who's participated in actively enabling the threats against us so we can be used as high-profile HOSTAGES... that complicates things in truly hideous ways.
@violetmadder No argument there. It’s an ugly situation no matter how you look at it.
#GenocideJoe or #DonTheCon? What's worse than both of them, and more than a little stupid, is people supporting a system that offers us a choice between Nero and Caligula and tells us that's "democracy". It's not. It's a scam.
@LevZadov @Serenus @violetmadder Outside of Netanyahu's genocide ( and tht's whose it is), what makes you equate Biden with Caligula?
