I put up a new fat ball feeder the other day. I thought it might be a bit too close to the house (outside the kitchen window), but the little birds seem to like it while the woodpecker hogs the original feeder that’s further away. Anyway, after emptying that one, the woodpecker is clearly not bothered by our presence at all and is also not too keen to share!

Managed to quickly snap the nuthatch before it was chased off by the woodpecker 🙄. I think I’d better refill the other feeder. He’s a greedy woodpecker.

Clearly not too close to the house for the squirrel either! I quickly shut the bathroom window to the side.

Is your woodpecker being tracked by a mob of ground feeders, picking up the bits it dropped.
The one that came to my feeder the other week had three or four followers each time. :-)
