The Book of 2 Samuel
The people of Israel were discontented and demanded a king like other nations. Despite warnings, they persisted, and eventually, God instructed Samuel to grant their request. Their first king, Saul, started well as both a leader and a soldier. However, his character flaws soon became evident, leading to his downfall. After his army was defeated in battle, Saul took his own life, marking a tragic end to his reign.
