@guenther @colinstu @kly @scy if you'd be 40 now, then at 13 there was also no Ubuntu.

The trio Slackware/Debian/Red Hat makes sense but with the important side note that SuSE is derived from Slackware. (And at the time, YaST could still install both RPMs and Slackware's tgz packages.)
