Bet Tim Cook is glad he cozied up to Trump.

Bloomberg.com Nearly a $2 trillion wipeout Roughly $1.7 trillion was erased from the S&P 500 at the start of US trading on Thursday amid worries that President Donald Trump's sweeping new round of tariffs could plunge the economy into a recession. The index is on the brink of a crucial technical inflection point that threatens a longer-term wipeout. The damage was heaviest in companies whose supply chains are most dependent on overseas manufacturing. Apple, which makes the majority of its US-sold devices in China, plunged after the open - even after a yearslong effort to insulate itself from trade wars.

Tim Cook had a better day than the CEO of Restoration Hardware. He was on an earnings call yesterday while his stock tanked in after hours trading

It closed today down 40%. And yet on the same call Friedman said,

"I think we've got a very smart administration negotiating at a level we haven't seen any administration, at least in our lifetimes, negotiate. It’s like I say to our team, don’t move until you see it. Take your time. This is a chess game, not a checkers game."
