Is there a Mastodon client for android that can translate languages? I seem to remember being able to do that in the past, but can't find the function on Tusky, the client I am using at the moment...

Would appreciate a boost if you don't know, thankyou 😁

In Tusky,click on the foreign language post rather than view within the thread. Then you should have a translate option in the three dot menu. French works for me.

@markhburton Thanks, that works great for me, I was sure I had done it before, but forgotten where the menu item was. It is that *you have to be in thread not timeline* before it works that must have thrown me out. Thankyou.

@nicksalt if your instance has the translation feature active in the web interface, @moshidon will work fine.

If not, Google Translate can be used with any client that allows you to select the text.

@nicksalt Moshidon also does that, but it need to be enabled on your instance. Of O understand correctly, Fedilab has its own (LibreTranslate) service, which works on the app for whatever message, whichever is your instance.
