@seanbala @Climatologist49 @cinderbdt Any day with sunshine in Utqiaġvik. July 12 normal high temperature 48F (8C), normal low 36F (2C), so this is pretty typical for recent years. In the later 20th century it was typical for sea ice to be in place the first half of July.
