@Barbramon1 The rottenness that is these people. They want to use the Old Testament to justify abusing children, forgetting that Jesus brought them the New Testament to replace it. Religious hacks and hypocrites.

@Barbramon1 I'm an atheist too. The Catholic church made me that way. I was determined to learn the Bible better than my teachers so I could argue with them. Ugh.
@thepoliticalcat My mom made me attend confirmation classes. I was not very popular with the pastor. He was not used to being questioned.
I was engaged to a Catholic and was told that we couldn't marry in the church unless I took classes and converted. I was young and went along with it, but the priest giving the classes ran away with a nun. There was a huge scandal, and the church forgot about me. I never converted and got married as a heathen.
