Day 
Kherson Ukraine Volunteering
Early Monday morning and in the background as I prepare for volunteering are the sounds of shelling, artillery and sometimes I can feel the shockwave from the explosions.
Despite the daily acts of terrorism and the danger it poses, I witness the strength and resilience of the people of Kherson through their collective effort to live life as normal as possible.
The people of Ukraine’s spirit is unbreakable.
The day is new and the humanitarian group Spravzhni Ukraine will contribute to normalizing life in the community by cleaning out homes that were affected by the flood from the destroyed Kakhovka Dam in Kherson.
The team is made up of volunteers from Kherson who survived the occupation and from around the world. 
I’m grateful to all of my Ukrainians friends, volunteers I met from around the world, and soldiers on the front lines.
