Hydrogen as a fuel for transportation has so many technical and economic problems that we cannot realistically expect it to ever make a dent on CO2 emissions. And EVs will not be of much help either. To reduce CO2 emissions from transportation, the only viable solution is to expand and improve the mass transit infrastructure so that people will use it instead of personal cars for most of their travel, like shopping and commuting. ‍>
