K, I'll post this here too.
Clarification with number 1: Ensure that the "… entitled to our opinions" comment is about facts they find inconvenient & treating facts as if they were opinions.
One example from my life, a care assistant made the "opinions" remark after taking my suggestion to consult a counsellor as a personal affront, treating mental health & therapy as if they were insulting opinions.
Ugh. :/
