It's well difficult. A German friend of mine learnt English by listening to and the . I thought I'd give a try. I'm getting the phrasing / rhythms but can't make head nor tail of the vocab. 💖 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I guess it's a Celtic language with different verb/noun ordering, whereas English is a Germanic language

I sometimes recommend (if you're ok watching sports) watching any sports on S4( well tg4 in Ireland for Irish)
As it has a fairly limited set of phrases and they are repeated to help your ear get used to the language
