I know it looks like some heavy photoshop, but if you expose for the brilliant white of the Egrets the shadows of a small cove in the reeds become a black hole….

I spent yesterday chasing a pair of Roseate Spoonbill that somehow ended up in northern Nevada and got some good shots, but the egrets stole the show. 🤷‍♂️😆

Shadowed reeds create a dark black hole that takes up the majority of the center of the photo. Thru the center are brilliantly white egrets, shining in the rising sun. The water they are standing in is a black mirror.
