Hey #believeinfilm friends,
Did you see the northern lights yesterday?
A solar storm made the aurora borealis visible in Vancouver, where I live, and even in places south of that, like Toronto. I photographed the lights on film with my Canon F-1 and a roll of CineStill 800T.

Not bringing a digital camera was one of the best decisions of the night. Film is the best way to capture this event.
@analog_cafe I don't know if it was visible where I live, but I only learned about it while it was happening, again, so I missed it either way.
@Gargron I literally learned about it from social media and had my friend drag me out of house to see. Thankfully, these events last for hours
@kraks Thank you! They did indeed came and went a few times. On the drive to the park I saw them from my car but once arrived the sky looked blank. Until it lit up again around midnight.
@analog_cafe Great shots. I used my iPhone 15 Pro and got some decent shots too.
@seth Thank you and that's great — such a nice memory to keep :)
