The entitlement around the Beeper Mini app from various corners is strange. A startup figured out a vulnerability in the iMessage protocol to send messages without being authenticated and charged Android users money for the ability to send messages via iMessage.

The only logical thing for Apple to do was fix the vulnerability. Apple has also announced they will support RCS next year so there’s really no reason to be rallying around this startup as if they’re heroes.
