Last week was the end of an era. The era of developers holding out hope that some jurisdiction would save them from Apple’s 30% fee.
From the U.S. to South Korea & Netherlands, Apple has responded to rulings to allow external payments with a 27% fee. Combined with the typical 3% that payment providers charge, and Apple’s scary warning dialogs, developers actually will lose money going down this route.

@carnage4life Just offer subs on your website and maybe stop offering them through the app at all, with limited in-app functionality. Letterboxd and Adobe take direct subscriptions without an Apple tax and that works fine for me.
