A few more pics of yesterday’s #hike. The intention was to walk a #SlowWays from Plymstock to Salcombe. I managed 19 miles, but having missed the last ferry of the day from Bigbury to Bantham, I’ll have to complete it another day. It was a great #walk - quite the adventure - stunning scenery, lovely paths & even more memorable for the kindness of strangers.
I also have to say that the path cleared through a cliff top barley field was a beauty! And yes, I did hear the Gladiator theme in my head.
@helenclayton lovely hike pics and chat! Very much enjoyed. Am impressed with your 19 miles! If I reach 6 I think I've done well, but then I am prone to stopping every few minutes to ID a plant or bug.
@littlerachyb normally I am also stopping every 5 minutes to look at something & have to build that into my walk times. Yesterday’s was a pretty epic walk by my standards & I had absolutely no wriggle room (minus wriggle room as it turns out!). I’m much happier bimbling, but this was a route I’d wanted to do for ages to complete a SlowWays web. It would be good done over two days, staying overnight somewhere nice!
