Paying the anesthesiologist separately who is CEO of his own company who's unprofessional af.
First, he used the same cringeworthy gross joke about #sexualassault at least three times on three patients while I was waiting for the procedure. Whether he was talking to the partners or no, by definition, if the person is unconscious, touching them sexually is assault. It definitely calls into question the safety of patients under their care.

Second -- Alarmingly, my #mask, supplied by the front desk, annoyed him. During cold and flu season (and a #pandemic, I might add), it's a very good idea for everyone to wear a mask. They work. Dude went on and on about how the boy in the plastic bubble (I guess he's thinking this is equivalent to people wearing masks?) would die, masks aren't effective, anyone with an #immunesystem doesn't need a mask, and I shouldn't live in a "spirit of fear."

Third -- he somehow thought it was appropriate to force a Christian prayer (he had no regard for my religion or lack thereof) about my so-called spirit of fear. I thought he was going to pray elsewhere, but, surprise, he was sermonizing right there over me. As he's a doctor with a bit of control over the events of the morning, I didn't feel comfortable objecting. And I couldn't find a nurse to call inconspicuously.

It was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional that he used his authority in one area to assume or force religion into a situation that required scientific expertise. Prayers do not inspire confidence that one will recieve good scientific care at a medical establishment.

He shouldn't be in the medical profession at all. Anyone who is anti-mask or anti-vax shouldn't be allowed near patients. And I've gotta pay this guy a separate bill now. $4000 out of pocket for the #colonoscopy and #endosocopy and $300 for this guy's anesthesia and harassment. Perioperative Specialists of NC for the latter.
@jiujensu yep, that whole experience sounds unprofessional and I suspect it's becoming more frequent/normalized.
@TopKnot
I reported it to the hospital, but idk if they'll just talk to him or prevent him from practicing. Probably the first one:(
