@Ea7krc@mastodon.sdf.org @Npars01 @pseudonym one of the reasons it’s cheaper is because making it to come apart is more complicated. Bolts instead of rivets, panels instead of moulded in one. Another reason is that big biz subsidise ‘smart appliances’ for the data they harvest.
