@David Whoa! I didn't know that, and definitely wouldn't have guessed—it's in great shape for such a colorful piece sited outdoors right next to the ocean
@mike_edwards I (more than) assume that it's been restored a few times. Most artworks near the beach get new coat of paint (or more) once in a while. Except maybe Ohtake's boat parts.
