This year I want to start reading a new #book each #Sunday and to continue it if I like the first 50 pages.
This Week: "The Golden Road: How Ancient India Transformed the World" by William Dalrymple.
He discusses the Indosphere - the spread of Indian trade, culture, art, religion, and science across Eurasia from Rome to South Asia between 250 BCE - 1200 CE.
Verdict: Will Keep Reading!

@seanbala @histodons @antiquidons One of the many things I enjoyed about that book was his discovery of a previously unknown to him family connection with a major archaeological find.
@seanbala @histodons @antiquidons have you been listening to his podcast “Empire” with Anita Anand? Highly recommend

I have stumbled on William Dalrymple with the book City of Djinns. The Empire Pod has also been amazing to listen to.
Since City of Djinns is his first book, I can starkly see the contrast in his decades of learning about Indian history.
