I climbed Siegesäule, Berlin’s ‘Victory Column’ last night, and got a glorious sunset view over the city.
This image is a mix of infrared and visible (IR is red, and trees reflect IR very strongly so come out very bright red! And the visible light is blue and green).
These are the constituent images: visible light (obviously!) and then black and white IR (with a VERY DARK sky and VERY BRIGHT trees showing IR’s distinctive effects).
So much skyline here: the TV tower is most obvious, but also the Reichstag (parliament building), Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, and Berlin nerds can perhaps pick out the twin churches of Gendarmenmarkt…
@statto Funfact: The two buildings at the Gendarmenmarkt are no churches. The German names for them are misleading...

@Deanna Ha, that I did not know! Thanks! (Gendarmenmarkt seems to have been closed for renovation almost the whole time since we moved here so I’ve not had a proper explore!)
