HI EVERYONE! The thing that is supposed to make sure that things don’t stop working failed to make sure that those thing didn’t stop working.
As a result of this there was downtime last night and I am very unhappy with the thing that is supposed to make sure other things don’t stop working.
If there are any hotshot #Monit experts out there who could help out I’d be very grateful

"UPS will cause more outages than it prevents"
UPS can be freely replaced with most automated robustness systems.

Don't be too angry with the thing that didn't do its job keeping the other things up...
It was a great opportunity to go outside and look at some nature...

Things that should go bump in the night not going bump never surprises me.
I have a shiny new VPS Ubuntu server that I have had to reinstall several times. Just when I think everything is set up just so, I add one more service and crash it. Mea culpa with version installation foibles. I could do with a snapshot facility but that gets expensive. Which reminds me that I need to visit your contributions page again.

Last time I had a similar problem it was a hard drive problem (just a suggestion here).

Hi, I can't help with that, but I CAN tell you before the server went down, it was giving 500 errors when I tried to search hashtags.

@trumpet A little down time just allows me to focus more on slowing down and enjoying longer evening doggie walks, catching up on Substack reading, and listening to podcasts.
