@zefrog They all listen to The Archers on Radio 4 to brush up their Received Pronunciation and prevent slippage. You have to watch ‘This Farming Life’ on BBC Scotland to catch ordinary tenant farmers.
@christineburns I could be massively wrong but I don't think tenant farmers are a thing in France. A farmer is a farmer, and, in my area at least, they aren't rich or posh, by a country mile(!). Another effect of who owns the land in the UK with odd freehold/leasehold system
