I adore this man. I'm amazed at his dedication. 158 hours and 48 minutes to raise a million.

This was the moment. And this humility and gratitude is why he's easily my fave person on the internet by a long stretch.

I'm crying happy tears that he pulled this together and so many folks came together to make the goal possible.

CHARITY SHOUTOUT--- SUCCESS!!!

Tom Grossi's livestream to raise $1 million for the Children of Fallen Patriots has concluded in the past few hours.

I thought it would go a few more, & I watched it start but at 2 AM I had to go to bed. He still had 140K left to go in the goal when I went to bed. Woke up 6.5 hours later and overnight the $1 million was reached.

I'm glad for him because our adorkable charitable sports fan can get some sleep now (he was gonna stay up for the last 100K to raise regardless), but wow. I think a lot of the big donors came through to ensure he got to bed earlier (hee hee).

Thanks to those who spread the word and/or chipped a few bucks in. HIs livestream's still going & he's giving some summations right now, stories folks left on the donation page, etc.

The Children of Fallen Patriots livestream continues, and Tom Grossi and his posse (happy to be part of it) are getting closer to raising $1 million for kids who've lost a military parent in the line of duty, giving them scholarships for college & educational counseling.

As of this moment I'm posting, there's less than $7k til the Berlin Wall piece auction begins (which happens when the charity goal hits $750K).
