@utbluegirl I agree with you. I think the US is on the cusp of a transition. It is heading deeply into a #Kleptocracy #Kakistocracy #Oligarchy. If elites like Musk, become #Enlightened and choose to #Nationalize and accept #RedistributionOfWealth. We could begin a more #Socialist model like the #Nordic countries (i.e. #Finland, #Sweden, #Denmark) and work toward #Limitarianism like #IngridRobeyns proposes. Otherwise, I'm afraid it's #TorchesAndPitchforks and #PinataEconomics

We are more #enlightened when we learn to reflect on our impulses, desires, & whims, choosing thoughtful responses over impulsive actions. Cultivating virtues like #benevolence, #courage, #truthfulness, & #fairness is another dimension of #enlightenment. (2/3)
What does it mean to become more #enlightened or #awake? #Enlightenment is not a single, linear path but a collection of semi-independent dimensions that reflect growth in different areas of #awareness.

There are things one can be #prejudice about, the list is nearly endless. Those we cannot avoid when the spring up unbidden. HOWEVER, that does *NOT* make them OK. Rather they are part of our early experiences, our parent's issues, local tendancy's, etc.
What we need to do to be #enlightened members of society, is to recognize them and adjust our reactions accordingly.
The term #woke comes to mind. Wake up and realize you are not perfect, but also capable of change.

These teachings align with the core #Zen principle of #nonduality, which challenges the artificial distinctions & judgments we impose on the world. By not speaking ill of others & avoiding discriminatory behaviour, #Zen practitioners strive to embody a life of #equanimity, #compassion, & #mindfulness, contributing to a more #harmonious & #enlightened society.
