Testing and drying this thing. Nobody was quite sure what it's for. One of the old man's tenants built it. I guess it's a small shashlik grill, because there were some bent swords nearby.

Needs some repairing before making a bigger fire, a few refractory bricks are loose and one fell right out. Drafts well enough though. And need to fix the chimney cap.

Got some shashlik swords so we can hopefully test it soon! :)

An outdoor grill built from stone, and refractory bricks with a square metal chimney. A chimney hood is dangling uselessly off to one side, attached by some rusty wire. A green metal cup and black paint can lid are on top. There's a fire poker and a rusty door, which is open revealing a fire burning inside fed by dry twigs.

I always love the fact that a broiler in modern gas ovens is nothing more than an upside down grill. Makes cooking burgers super easy. Just a cookie sheet, some aluminum foil for easy cleanup and in a little while, perfectly done. #cooking #grill
