Well, #Hampshire County Council still think cyclists should not be using the National Cycle Network Route 23 to get to #JaysClose/#Viables Industrial Estate in #Basingstoke - there's still no dropped kerb since they built the new section of pavement. Is this negligence, ignorance, or deliberate due to a dislike of #cyclists?

Hampshire County Council don't think anyone rides bicycles on this section of the National Cycle Network route 23 so installed a raised kerb, even though it is signed as the main route to the town centre. They say that the cycle barriers they installed further up the shared use path make cycling impossible on the shared use path.
If only Sustrans bothered to maintain standards on the NCN, and reviewed the routes regularly.

Rush hour this morning on Bearsden Road in Glasgow vs rush hour on the cycle path alongside the Forth and Clyde Canal which passes underneath it.

The other day we cycled from #leevalley athletics to #TowerOfLondon, put our #bikes in the #premierinn & off we went for an evening at Tony Kitous' #KenzaRestaurant followed by the #totoroshow at #TheBarbican !
This time we'll #ride from #Bangor #northwales to #CwmIdwal using #NationalCycleNetwork route 82 & stay at #yha #hostel !

#TransportForAll are partnering with #Sustrans to help them identify barriers on the #NationalCycleNetwork. They are asking for feedback from disabled cyclists, to find out about experiences of #cycling on the #NCN.

Filming a video of your cycle journey on the National Cycle Network
You will receive £50 for taking part in an interview lasting between 45 minutes to 1 hour, or up to £100 for capturing a video of your journey (do not worry about video editing, you can send us raw footage or a series of shorter clips).
