Part of a series I've made back in 2019, called it "Fire and Water". It was fun (and messy). Despite using the maximum shutter speed here (1/8000 sec), apparently this wasn't enough to freeze the motion of the water droplets - they were ejected from a syringe. It is such situations that call for working with "flash duration" instead of the typical HSS (or high-speed) mode in the speedlites. Unfortunately, back then my knowledge was limited, and till this very day, I don't think I can work with such method.

Specs for those who care about them:
- Canon EOS 7D.
- Canon EOS 100mm f/2.8 Macro.
- F/5.6.
- 1/8000 sec.
- ISO 200.

🟢 Il nous faudrait 25 000 agents pour mener à bien les projets de transition sur les territoires.

Ces besoins d’ingénierie territoriale climat représentent 1,5 Md€ par an.

👉 Comment les financer ?

Soft candlelight from real candles illuminated the dim environment in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, the first Serbian Orthodox Church in Ljubljana Slovenia. The warm glow created a serene and contemplative atmosphere.

Visualizing Unstable Flames

Inside a combustion chamber, temperature fluctuations can cause sound waves that also disrupt the flow, in turn. This is called a thermoacoustic instability. In this video, researchers explore this process by watching how flames move down a tube. The flame fronts begin in an even curve that flattens out and then develops waves like those on a vibrating pool. Those waves grow bigger and bigger until the flame goes completely turbulent. Visually, it’s mesmerizing. Mathematically, it’s a lovely example of parametric resonance, where the flame’s instability is fed by system’s natural harmonics. (Video and image credit: J.
