🧵 1 Here we are, more or less halfway between Winter Solstice + Spring Equinox! (Thanks to @mirabilos I've recently learned more about the calculation of #CrossQuarter Days: it's not so straightforward!)
Anyway, for me a general idea of mid-way works- I'll make my natural observations over several days anyway, and if I have time/ energy for ritual, it will depend on work/weather!

1-A bit of a mound rises from a snowy pasture- where the soil was piled when a cattle watering dugout was made long ago. It's a late winter afternoon, maybe an hour from sunset and the many little lumps and crests and ridges in the snow (made from cattle tracking around then wind blowing snow) on the mound have deep blue shadows on this side away from the sun. Behind the mound we can see a bit more of the snowy pasture then a line goes all the way across of low dark willows with here and there- mostly to the right- some smallish poplars sticking out above. We can't see how far this treed area goes exactly, but get a glimpse of another sliver of silvery snow much farther back where the ground rises a bit. Farther still are more shadowy trees and on the horizon, barely discernible, we see the foothills blue/hazy blending into the partly clouded sky (mountains behind invisible in cloud). A Line of modest fluffy clouds caps a slightly darker blue-grey with sunset highlights area above the mountains, and above those clouds the sky is faintly overcast pale grey with a hint of violet-coral!
2-Across an area of rather smooth snow broken by many small poplar suckers along with occasional other small woody things and the occasionalbit of dry grass or thistle, a loose row (a few metres wide) of youngish (maybe mid-size in diameter, at most, many skinnier) but tall follows a fenceline from left to right. Beyond we see more snowy ground and more distant low willows and trees.The soft barely golden white ball of sun shines between the trunks and branches from a dull blue sky with bits of cloud, a little less than halfway up the trees as it westers, casting long blue linear shadows from the trees on the snow in the foreground.

I try to add more and more self-made things to my altar, like this felt crystal ball which is a cover or "hat" for an LED tealight. On the second photo you can see a similar felt ghost LED tea light "hat" and christmas tree LED tea light "hat" (at the place of a friend's mom). The third photo shows a crochet wall hanging I made (didn't have a stick, so I used a pencil), and the fourth photo shows a nearly invisible (except when the light are out) glow-in-the-dark sigil on a tiny canvas and a watermelon made out of felt because free Palestine!

Introducing 'Imbolc', a 100g skein of hand dyed 100% British Bluefaced Leicester 4 ply high twist sock yarn. There are two skeins in each box.

Qui veut ses cartes de la chandeleuse ?! :)
Eh oui j'aime bien tirer les cartes de tarot pour les genstes ! Je crois pas que ce soit divinatoire ni sacré etc. J'ai d'abord été intéressée parce qu'il y a de magnifiques jeux (on dit decks) de tarot ! 😍 Du coup ensuite je me suis plongée dans l'histoire du tarot (coucou hyperfixation sur intérêt spécifique 😁 ). Puis j'ai étudié le tarot pendant plusieurs années, et constitué une petite collec de beaux decks.
Je propose des tirages saisonniers. Juste pour le fun, un peu comme partager un petit thé entre ami.es. Je fais pas de "divinatoire" et compagnie. J'utilise les cartes davantage comme des petits messages amicaux, des pistes de questionnement et de réflexion, des petites guidances à prendre (ou à laisser) comme ça nous chante (et pas trop au sérieux).
Alors si ça te dit, fais-moi signe pour que je tire tes cartes de la chandeleuse ! :) Pour ce tirage j'utilise le Dreaming way tarot de Rome Choi illustré par Kwon Shina.
