Spent all evening painting bits of youngest's Cerastus Knight Lancer people are unlikely to ever see. Behold, the cockpit.

Mini painters will understand. Sure, I could have just dry brushed everything and thrown a wash on, but I'D KNOW. Which is why even his arse which is glued in was washed, highlighted, and panel lined. Because I'D KNOW.

And here it is with the wash, looking suitably grimy, next to one of my earlier #TrashBash terrain items. The color isn't an exact match, but it's in the ball park. For future prints I might ask for a black or grey filament, rather than white. For the other 3 I had printed I'll probably prime them black before painting them.

I painted another miniature for #talesfromthereddragoninn. A proxy for the "gizmoblins" you fight in the first mission or two. I think this supposed to be a manned vehicle, but I scaled it way down for printing. I'm happy with the decision to put the bullseye on the chest. These are training automatons that go berserk. The original standees don't feature this target, but they have some sort of red buttons on them which I assume service similar purpose, so this was my solution.

Hey #MiniaturePainting peeps, how do you feel about the different paint #storage solutions and what different sizes of bottles do you end up with.

I'm finally working on getting back to it after *many* years, and am trying to prep and get set up. Aside from general #craft paint 59ml bottles I've grabbed a Vallejo bottle and one of the squat GW citadel base ones for reference.

Saw some #3DPrinting solution in a recent video, but I think I need to design my own.
